Lower Solu / Everest
The Pikey Peak trek is an accessible, off-the-beaten-path route in the culturally rich lower Solukhumbu, climbing through Sherpa villages, monasteries and rhododendron forest to the summit of Pikey Peak. Edmund Hillary is said to have rated the sunrise view of Everest from here as his favourite. With modest altitude and short duration, it is an excellent choice for first-time and shoulder-season trekkers.
