About Gokyo Lakes Trek
An alternative to the standard Everest Base Camp route, the Gokyo Lakes trek leads through the Khumbu to a string of brilliant turquoise glacial lakes beside Ngozumpa, the largest glacier in Nepal. The climb up Gokyo Ri rewards trekkers with one of the finest viewpoints in the Himalaya, taking in Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu. It can be combined with Everest Base Camp via the Cho La pass.
