The Langtang Valley trek is one of the most accessible treks from Kathmandu, offering a stunning journey through the Langtang National Park. Known as the 'Valley of Glaciers,' this region was heavily affected by the 2015 earthquake but has been beautifully rebuilt. The trek takes you through dense rhododendron and bamboo forests, traditional Tamang villages, and high alpine pastures with spectacular views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and other peaks. The trail follows the Langtang Khola through a beautiful U-shaped glacial valley, with opportunities to visit cheese factories and Buddhist monasteries.
